Join the City of Baltimore’s Retirement Savings Plan for National Retirement Security Month and learn how to plan for your financial future. All sessions are virtual unless otherwise indicated.

9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Class C Retirement seminars are for employees hired prior to July 1, 2014. Topics include: retirement eligibility requirements, disability and death benefits, military and transfer time, beneficiary designation, health benefits in retirement and the 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan.

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) seminars are for employees hired on or after July 1, 2014. Topics include: overview of Hybrid/Non-Hybrid plans including benefits for each plan, retirement eligibility requirements, military and transfer time, beneficiary designation and the 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan.

11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

[CANCELLED] Do you know where you’re going and how you’re going to get there? Learn insightful information on managing debt and budgeting your money. Look at cash flow, spending and what adjustments you need to make to help you understand how decisions impact future goals.

Hey Ladies! Women face some unique challenges when it comes to saving for retirement. This workshop shares three things every woman needs to know about creating her retirement plan.

This workshop covers the basics and benefits of the 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan (DCP). The DCP offers an additional way to save for retirement. With Pre-Tax and/or Roth options, an additional contribution match and the ability to increase or decrease at any time, this voluntary benefit is a sure way to win. Join in to learn more about the plan!

New investment options for you to consider as a part of your retirement planning portfolio. Learn about options that can help provide confidence through unstable market conditions, designed to help optimize growth potential.

*The Office of the Labor Commission will grant Baltimore City employees two (2) hours of permission leave to attend one (1) seminar. Supervisors should coordinate schedules to provide adequate coverage and avoid disruption to City Services.
